Demonstration match with four aces that have marked Romanian tennis in the last 25 years!

Andrei Pavel and Victor Hănescu will be on the same side of the net at the Ciric Base of Iași City Hall, their opponents being Adrian Ungur and Marius Copil, the four players marking Romanian tennis in the last 25 years.
Andrei Pavel (47 years old) remains even now, more than a decade after retirement, the best Romanian singles player after Ilie Năstase, enchanting us with his perfect one-handed backhand, detached as from the book. It reached its best ranking, 13th place ATP, in October 2004, being between 1997 and 2006 in the top 100 in the world. He has three major trophies won in singles (Tokyo 1998, St. Polten 2000 and ATP Masters 1000 Canada 2001) and six in doubles.
Victor Hănescu will turn 40 in a few days, on July 21. The best ranking of his career was the 26th place, in July 2009. In 2005 he took it over from Andrei Pavel and became the best ranked Romanian player, being for the first time among the top 50 in the world ranking. He was injured in February 2006, in a Davis Cup game with the USA, in 2007 he had to recover hundreds of lost places, but in 2008 he reached the Top 50 again, so that in 2013 he would finish the tenth year out of the last eleven (exception being 2006) in the Top 100 ATP.
Adrian Ungur (36 years old) was number 79 in the world in 2012, a year he finished for the first time in the top 125 (112th place). In 2013 he was the second Romanian after Hănescu, and in 2015, together with Marius Copil, they formed the first Romanian duo to win the trophy in Bucharest after Pavel / Trifu in 1998.
Marius Copil is 30 years old and will play on the main board at "Concord Iași Open" 2021, being ranked 224th in the ATP rankings, the best ranking in his career being 56th, recorded two and a half years ago. "It will be a gala show, with moments of real tennis, to please the spectators in the stands of the Ciric Base, a base that looks very good and I want to thank the City Hall of Iasi for all the support it gives us at this edition of Concord Iasi Open as well ", added Andrei Oriță.
