Darya Astakhova managed a fantastic tournament at the BCR Iași Open

And her mission in Iași is not over yet, because the doubles semi-final is coming up. Coming from the qualifiers, the 20-year-old Russian player won five matches at the BCR Iași Open, all in minimum sets.
The player ranked 256th in the world ranking, but who will go up with the 57 points accumulated in Iași, defeated Ștefana Lazăr (6-1, 6-1) and Olivia Tjandramulia, from Australia (6-2 , 6-4), to get past Irina Bara in the first match on the scoreboard, 6-3, 6-3.
In the round of 16, Astakhova beat Cristina Dinu, 6-2, 6-2, and in the quarterfinals she beat Paula Ormaechea (Argentina) 6-4, 6-0.
Ana Bogdan stopped her ascent in the semifinals, with a superb victory in two sets, 7-6, 6-4.
