Cezar Crețu and Bogdan Pavel, the doubles champions at the Concord Iasi Open

The Romanian pair Cezar Crețu / Bogdan Pavel won, on Saturday, the doubles trophy at the Concord Iași Open, an ATP Challenger 100 tournament with total prizes of 120,950 euros.
Cezar Crețu (23 years old) and Bogdan Pavel (25 years old), colleagues at the Victor Hănescu Academy, defeated in the final the favorite Polish pair 4 formed by Karol Drzewiecki and Piotr Matuszewski, score 2-6, 6-2, 10-4 after a match that lasted 71 minutes.
The doubles champions receive 100 ATP points and a check worth €16,550, while the runners-up are left with 50 ATP points and €9,705.
Bogdan Pavel played the doubles final in Iasi last year as well, together with Gabi Boitan, but the two were defeated by the pair Nicolas Barrientos (Colombia) / Aisam Qureshi (Pakistan), score 6-3, 6-3.
Beneficiaries of a wild card, Cezar Crețu and Bogdan Pavel obtained the first doubles trophy at a Challenger 100 after defeating Nicholas David Ionel (Romania) / Filip Jianu (Romania) 7-5, 7-6 (6), Anirudh Chandrasekar (India) / Arjun Kadhe (India), favorite 2, 7-6 (6), 4-6, 10-2, Luis Britto (Brazil) / Roy Stepanov (Israel) 6-4, 7 -6 (3) and Karol Drzewiecki (Poland) / Piotr Matuszewski (Poland), score 2-6, 6-2, 10-4.
Cezar Crețu also participated in the singles event this year, being eliminated in the round of 16 by Kazakh Dmitry Popko.
Bolivian Hugo Dellien and Spanish Barranco Cosano, singles finalists
The Concord Iași Open tournament also named its singles finalists on Saturday. In the final scheduled for Sunday evening, from 18.00, the Bolivian Hugo Dellien, 171st ATP place, 6th favorite, and the Spanish Javier Barranco Cosano, world number 254, will meet.
In the first semi-final of the day, the Bolivian Dellien, 31, defeated the young Paraguayan Adolfo Daniel Vallejo, 20, 289 ATP, 7-6 (4), 6-2, in the minimum of sets and will play his first this year's final.
The second finalist, Spaniard Javier Barranco Cosano, 25 years old, 254 ATP place, produced the surprise and defeated the 8th favorite, French Enzo Couacaud, 29 years old, world number 195, in the semifinals, score 7-6 (5), 7 -5.
The Iberian Cossano is facing the most important result of his career in Iasi, this being his first challenger tournament final. It should be noted that the 25-year-old Spaniard did not lose a single act on his way to the final, winning all four matches played in Iasi in a minimum of sets.
In the end, Cosano said he wanted a perfect Sunday for Spain. For his country's national football team to win the final with England at EURO 2024, for his friend "Carlito" (Carlos Alcaraz) to triumph at Wimbledon in front of Novak Djokovic, and for him to win the Challenger 100 from Iasi.
With their semi-final wins, Dellien and Cosano each secured 50 ATP points and checks worth €9,705, while Vallejo and Couacaud were left with 25 ATP points and a €5,740 check each.
