Cezar Crețu and Bogdan Pavel fight for the doubles trophy at the Concord Iasi Open. Last year, Pavel defeated Crețu in the first round in doubles. The path of the two pairs to the final

The Romanian pair Cezar Crețu / Bogdan Pavel, beneficiary of a wild-card, will play on Saturday evening for the doubles trophy at the Concord Iași Open, an ATP Challenger 100 tournament with total prizes of 120,950 euros.
The doubles final will be played on the Central Court, not before 20:00, after the two singles semifinals (the first will start at 16:00).
Bogdan Pavel, at the second consecutive final in Iasi
Cezar Crețu (23 years old) from Ieși and his partner Bogdan Pavel (25 years old), last year's finalist in Iasi, will meet the favorite Polish couple 4 Karol Drzewiecki / Piotr Matuszewski in the grand final. In the semifinals played late on Friday evening, Cezar Crețu and Bogdan Pavel passed the pair of Luis Britto (Brazil) / Roy Stepanov (Israel), score 6-4, 7-6 (3), while the Poles Drzewiecki and Matuszewski defeated the double consisting of Alexandru Jecan (Romania) and Szymon Walkow (Poland), score 6-7 (5), 6-3, 10-4.
It should be noted that Bogdan Pavel played the doubles final in Iași last year as well, together with Gabi Boitan, but the Romanian pair was defeated by Nicolas Barrientos (Colombia) / Aisam Qureshi (Pakistan), 6-3, 6-3.
It is interesting that at the 2023 edition, Bogdan Pavel and Gabi Boitan passed in the first round in doubles even against Cezar Crețu, who then paired with Alexandru Jecan, 6-4, 6-3.
The doubles champions receive 100 ATP points and a check worth €16,550, while the runners-up are left with 50 ATP points and €9,705.
